Texas-born, NW Raised, with a short residence in South Korea, Joi Hailey grew up with a love for music at a young age as she listened to her mom practice for worship rehearsals and looked forward to the day when she could join her mom on stage.
As Joi entered high school, she was given the opportunity to sing at her home church at the time, New Song Community Church, where she led worship for the High School Gatherings and sang on the worship team for Sunday morning and evening services.
As Joi continued on her music journey, she made the cut as a member of the Northwest Community Gospel Chorus, which performs annually at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall with the Oregon Symphony. Joi eventually became one of the featured soloists.
Upon graduating from Portland State University, Joi continued leading worship at various churches around the Portland Metro area with her husband, Daniel Hailey III, a Portland area session and stage drummer.
Joi has sung at Jimmy Mack’s, the landmark Portland jazz club, collaborated with various artists and sung as a vocalist for the Grammy Winning Maverick City Choir.
While Joi continues to lead worship at various conferences, bible studies and churches, she serves on staff at Rolling Hills Community Church in Tualatin as the Worship Pastor.
She is currently working towards her Masters degree in Christian Leadership.
Joi has collaborated with artists across the Portland Metro area and has released several songs available on all music streaming platforms. Among these releases includes an EP Living For You and several single releases which include Alright, None Like You, When I'm Feeling Weak You Are Stronger and Known//Hills & Valleys in collaboration with Olivia Pothoff.
As a wife and a mother of two children, Joi strives to worship God on and off the stage. She believes worship is more than just something we do on a Sunday morning, but something we do continually in our daily lives.
